There will be a potluck next Sunday, June 29, following service. Please bring a favorite dish to share.
For the July Mission of the month, we are asking everyone to please support a “Christmas in July” for the local food pantry. We will be collecting breakfast items, which are greatly needed during the summer month. This is an especially hard time for children that are not in school and do not receive breakfast through the State programs. Suggestions are cereals, breakfast bars, and bottled fruit juices. Monetary donations may also be made and placed in the missions collection box for purchasing breakfast meats, eggs, and milk. We will take the monetary donations and purchase these items on the day of delivery. After speaking with the manager of the pantry, she made it very clear that these items are of great need and would be very appreciated during July.
June's Mission of the Month is a monetary collection for Orphan Grain Train. Orphan Grain Train is a volunteer network that shares personal and material resources with needy people in America and around the world. Grain Train volunteers gather donations of clothing, medical supplies, food, Christian literature, and other aid to meet real needs.
